Customer Service

We have many repeat customers, most of whom have used Harbert Roofing since our beginnings. Harbert Roofing works closely with large development firms, architects, and property owners to review proposals and offer workable solutions. Many firms and clients seek out Harbert Roofing explicitly for these abilities.

Integrity

Harbert Roofing cares about our customers and values our employees. We strongly believe that the quality of our work directly influences the integrity of our name. We work hard to be a company you can trust overhead, and providing quality customer service is and has always been our goal.

Full-Service

We always wanted to truly become a full-service roofing company. We have consistently expanded our operations beyond composition, tile, and metal roofing to offer a full-service lineup that includes all aspects of commercial roofing. These services include architectural metal, metal fabrication, waterproofing, and seamless commercial gutters.

History of Harbert Roofing

1980

When Harbert Roofing (HRI) began, our main focus was establishing a roofing company that genuinely cares about their customers by offering excellent customer service. We understood the quality of our work directly influences the integrity of our name. From the onset, we set out to be a company you can trust overhead.

1985

Howie Harbert joined the company full-time after graduating high school, excited to grow the commercial roofing department.

1986

Frank Acevedo (who is still with us) and two more employees were hired.

1990

We expanded beyond residential services to offer a full-service lineup, including commercial roofing, architectural metal, metal fabrication, waterproofing, and seamless commercial gutters.

1994

Due to expanding operations, we moved our office and yard to Airport Road in Redding, CA, and formed a corporation.

1996

We began bidding and completing large public works projects.

1998

We purchased sheet metal shear and brake equipment to begin fabricating our own flashings. We now offer a full sheet metal fabricating shop.

2012

We became ANSI/SPRI certified to manufacture and install our in-house fabricated, ES-1 coping cap with continuous cleat.

2016

Due to continued growth, we located to 19799 Hirsch Court in Anderson, CA, to better serve our clientele. We now have a conference room to discuss projects with customers and ample space to store all of our equipment.

2017

We have grown to over 50 full-time and part-time employees.

2020

We turned 40! Thank you for allowing us to serve Northern California and beyond for so many years. We are looking forward to all that comes.

Community Involvement

We give back to the community as a way to say thank you! Harbert Roofing has donated materials and labor for several community projects, including those listed below:

Redding Train Station Roof installation

Redding Train Station

Harbert Roofing was involved with the renovation of the Redding Train Station over 20 years ago. Many of our employees donated their labor to install the new roof. We also hauled the old materials from the roof and covered the dump fees for free. Thank you to our supplier for donating the new materials installed.

Golden Umbrella Roof install

Shasta Builders' Exchange

Harbert Roofing's employees donated their time to the Shasta Builders’ Exchange Construction Faire. Attendees could visit our booth and learn how to run gutters, install single-ply roofing, and install composition shingle roofing. The Shasta Builders’ Exchange (SBE) gave a dollhouse to a lucky winner and Harbert Roofing supplied and installed all of the roofing materials for the house. We continue to donate money to the SBE for golf tournaments and additional sponsored events.

Kool April Nites

Kool April Nites is a local nonprofit that puts on an annual car show. For over 15 years, we supplied the space to store and distribute the event’s registrants bags. We have also repaired roofs for the event. Some of our employees are long-time volunteers, donating their time and money. Kool April Nites supports local children’s programs and other nonprofits.

Redding Drag Strip

Having a safe place for youth and adults to enjoy their automobile is vital to the health of the community. The most important aspect of supporting the Redding Drag Strip is to keep the youth from racing on the street. Our motto and belief is "Do it at the strip, not the street".
